Town of Prescott Council

The Town of Prescott is governed by an elected 7-member Town Council comprised of the mayor and six councillors representing the Town as a whole. The mayor and Town councillors serve four-year terms. The current term of Council is November 15, 2022 to November 14, 2026. 

Council & Committee Meetings

Formal meetings of Council are held in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 360 Dibble St. West, on the first and third Monday of each month commencing at 6:00 p.m.
All meetings are open to the public unless otherwise stated. Council meetings are live-streamed on the Town's YouTube channel - Fort Town TV
All meetings are to be scheduled in advance with notice provided on this website and to the media. The notice procedures may be waived for emergency situations. 

Code of Conduct for Members of Council and Local Boards

On February 25, 2019, Prescott Town Council adopted a Code of Conduct for Members of Council and Local Boards.
The Province of Ontario provides that a Code of Conduct must be established for the members of council and local boards, and that an Integrity Commissioner be appointed by the Town to perform, in an independent manner, the functions assigned by the Town with respect to the application of the Code of Conduct.
