Prescott is a community that recognizes that people are its most valuable asset. We create opportunities for all people to enjoy our town and contribute as productive citizens.
We will work to prevent and remove barriers for persons with disabilities on Town properties and services. We will also create public awareness and educate both the public and private sectors regarding the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Ontario Building Code, and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
The Town has developed an Accessibility Plan (2020-2023) that describes measures that we have taken and will take, to remove barriers that prevent people with disabilities from accessing facilities and services.
If you require information in an alternate format, please call 613-925-2812. We will work with you to understand your specific information and accessibility needs and to provide for them within a reasonable timeframe.
Our Town Hall is fully accessible to all of our residents. We have a working elevator to assist with mobility issues and large doors that are also equipped with automatic door openers. The Town of Prescott strives to be fully inclusive to all residents and visitors.
