River Route Public Transit

South Grenville Municipalities Augusta Township, City of Brockville, Town of Prescott and Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal, have partnered to bring a new public transit service to popular employment areas with a bus route from Brockville to Cardinal, appropriately named the River Route.

Connecting with the existing Brockville transit system, the River Route begins in Brockville and continues east; bringing passengers to and from popular destinations in Brockville, Augusta, Prescott, and Edwardsburgh Cardinal in a 2-hour loop for 12 hours each weekday.

Accessibility:

The bus is equipped with a ramp and/or lifting devices to load and unload passengers that are unable to board or exit the bus using the bus steps. The bus has 2 allocated mobility aid spaces (wheelchair or scooter) with restraint systems. The bus is equipped with high colour contrasted grab bars, handholds, handrails or stanchions where appropriate to support independent and safe boarding, debarking, onboard circulation, seating and standing assistance and for persons with disabilities. The bus has floors that   a minimal glare and are slip resistant. Stop requests and emergency response controls are located throughout the bus at appropriate locations and there is adequate lighting at all passenger access doors.
