Small Business Week is a national celebration led by the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), recognizing the entrepreneurs and small businesses that drive communities across the country.

This year’s theme, “It’s a two-speed world now, fast or finished,” reflects the pace of change facing Canadian businesses. BDC’s 2026 focus looks at how entrepreneurs can adapt quickly, invest in productivity, respond to trade and supply-chain pressures, take advantage of business transition opportunities, and position themselves for growth in a rapidly changing economy.

From October 19 to 25, 2026, communities across Canada will mark Small Business Week with events, workshops and opportunities to connect. Here in Prescott, Invest Prescott, the Downtown Prescott BIA, and regional business support partners are once again coming together to celebrate local entrepreneurship and connect businesses with practical resources and new opportunities.

A highlight of this year’s local programming is the Small Business Week Success Social, a relaxed evening at the Prescott Museum & Visitor Centre where local business owners and entrepreneurs can connect, learn more about available supports and programs, and celebrate Prescott’s business community.

Small Business Week Success Social

The Town of Prescott and Downtown Prescott BIA invite local business owners and entrepreneurs to the Small Business Week Success Social, a relaxed drop-in evening celebrating Prescott’s business community.

Stop in anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. to connect with other local business owners, make new connections, and learn more about programs, resources and opportunities available through Invest Prescott and its partners.

The evening will be informal, with plenty of time for conversation and networking. Guests will also have the chance to enter door prize draws featuring professional headshots, a branding package, Prescott merchandise and more.

Light food and refreshments will be provided.

The Small Business Success Forum brings together entrepreneurs, business owners, industry experts and community leaders from across Leeds Grenville for an evening of learning, networking and practical business insight.

This year’s event will feature a panel of local business and entrepreneurship leaders, real-world success stories, networking opportunities, and practical takeaways including a free digital marketing assessment and professional headshot. A catered meal is also included.
