Whether you’re rolling through on a multi-day ride along the St. Lawrence, using Prescott as your launch point for a backroads loop, hunting out gravel and rail-trail favourites, or just heading downtown for a local spin, Prescott makes cycling easy—and makes the stop worth it.

Anchored on the Great Waterfront Trail, Downtown Prescott is an accredited Ontario By Bike Bike-Friendly Business Area. That means cyclist-ready places to eat, stay, shop, and explore—plus a waterfront setting built for a great break in the ride. Great Waterfront Trail Adventure 2023

In 2023, Prescott hosted a rest stop on the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure!

140 cyclists plus support staff and vehicles visited the Prescott Pop-Ups on August 12th, and were greeted by Mayor Gauri Shankar. Bike-friendly businesses Outpost Cafe and Katarina's Coffee Shop were on hand to provide complimentary treats to the participants and the Ontario Clean Water Agency had a bottle refill station on site. Councillor Mary Campbell rode with the GWTA from Brockville to the Prescott Rest Stop to help support the ride.

Prescott's Rest Stop was voted by participants to be one of the most memorable experiences of their multi-day ride, and 73% said they intend to return to the communities the ride visited in the next 24 months.
