Spend Civic Holiday Saturday in downtown Prescott.

King Street closes to traffic and opens for a full day of live entertainment, family activities, demonstrations, downtown shopping and street-festival fun.

Presented by the Town of Prescott and the Downtown Prescott BIA, the King Street Promenade transforms Downtown Prescott into a pedestrian street party stretching from Edward Street to George Street.

Catch FireGuy’s high-energy circus performances, cool off at one of three Foam Parties, watch Northern Rhodes transform raw wood through live chainsaw carving, explore giant inflatables and children’s activities, cheer on local skateboarders and discover special sidewalk-sale offers from Downtown Prescott businesses.

Come for a performance, stay for lunch and take your time exploring everything happening along King Street.

Watch Northern Rhodes transform raw wood into art during three live carving demonstrations. Visit throughout the day to see the sculpture take shape.

Prescott Skate Night brings skateboarding into the heart of the Promenade with a live demonstration in the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot. Stop by to watch local skaters take on the obstacles, land tricks and show off their skills.

Kids Zone

The Town of Prescott’s Community Services and Recreation team will host a Kids Zone featuring games, activities and hands-on family fun.

Lucy Loop

Watch for Lucy Loop roaming the Promenade on stilts, bringing colourful circus energy and larger-than-life photo opportunities to King Street.

Hula Hoop Fun Zone

Pick up a hoop and join the fun. The Hula Hoop Fun Zone features demonstrations, music and opportunities for all ages to learn new tricks.

Downtown Sidewalk Sale

Downtown Prescott businesses will bring shopping onto the street with special offers, displays and summer finds throughout the RiverWalk District.

Plan Your Visit

The King Street Promenade runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, along King Street between Edward Street and George Street.

Admission and family activities are free. Tips for buskers are encouraged.

Families attending the Foam Parties should bring a change of clothes and anything else needed to dry off afterward.
