Prescott PorchFest
On Saturday, September 26, live music returns to porches across Prescott for an afternoon made for wandering.
From 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., 10 artists will perform at 10 porch locations throughout town, turning neighbourhoods into intimate live music stages and giving you plenty of reasons to explore along the way.
The official PorchFest map and performance schedule are now available, making it easy to plan your route or simply pick a starting point and follow the music. Stop downtown between sets, take a walk to the waterfront, catch a favourite performer or discover someone new.
Performances begin at 1:00 p.m. with Paddy Gaffney, Gabrielle Salmon, Steve Bell, Jimi Martin and Aphra Anena, followed by afternoon sets from Morgan Belhumeur, Mary Moore, Keeley Brown, Tim Burns and Brian McAuley at porch locations throughout Prescott.
Presented in partnership with South Grenville Events, Prescott PorchFest brings live music directly into the streets and neighbourhoods, creating a relaxed way to experience the town, its people and its character.
The day continues at the Town Hall “Porch,” 360 Dibble Street West, with S’Mauken performing at 4:00 p.m. and HappyCrap at 5:00 p.m.
A BBQ chicken dinner prepared by South Grenville Events will also be available at Town Hall from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. for $24 plus tax, including half chicken, coleslaw, potato salad and a bun.
Whether you map out every performance or simply see where the afternoon takes you, PorchFest offers a different way to spend a September Saturday in Prescott.
