Fort Town Concert Association

FortTownConcert_shapeimage_1The Fort Town Concert Association (FTCA) is a voluntary community effort with a mission to mount classical music concerts of professional quality in rural Eastern Ontario . It also seeks to encourage music appreciation in a younger audience by making concert presentations in schools, and offering free evening tickets to children under 12. FTCA is served by a volunteer committee of 9 members.

From the beginning, FTCA has partnered with Jeunesses Musicales of Canada (JMC) to bring in young professional musicians, and  over the years it has showcased the world-class talents of Ofra Harnoy, Russell Braun, James Ehnes, The Gryphon Trio, Lara and Scott St. John,  Maureen Forrester, and Stewart Goodyear, among a great many others.

Since its inception, FTCA has enjoyed a facility partnership with the St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
The church’s superb acoustics offer an intimate setting for performances, and there’s lots of free parking on Prescott ’s quiet streets.
