On behalf of the members of council and Prescott town staff, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit the Town of Prescott web site. We are proud of our Historic Fort Town on the St. Lawrence River. In 1810, Prescott was founded by Colonel Edward Jessup. His Loyalist ancestry is still celebrated today. This year, in 2010 we are celebrating our 200th anniversary.
Today more than ever, Prescott is a thriving community that actively promotes its cultural heritage, its waterfront and its friendly residents, while bringing a positive approach to business and development, together with the unrivalled quality of life that we have to offer.
I passionately believe in the past, present and future of Prescott. It is a great place to live, work, play and visit. Please browse through this new web site to learn more about our municipal government, bylaws, and council meetings. I also invite you to explore our heritage, tourism, recreation, festivals, shops and services.
I welcome you to come and visit Prescott and please call me anytime for a personal tour of all that Prescott has to offer.
