South Grenville Guild of Fine Art

| |

The South Grenville Guild of Fine Art currently has 26 members who pursue their interests in various forms of art. Some of the popular mediums are painting (oils, watercolour, acrylics, pastels, collage and mixed media), photography, pottery and calligraphy.

The Guild endeavours to foster the appreciation and development of visual art in the community. It holds a well-received annual show each spring at the MERC Hall in Maitland, exhibits at the Brockville Arts Centre and occasionally at venues around the Town of Prescott.

The South Grenville Guild of Fine Arts has made its home at the library for a number of years. The artwork is changed periodically and can be found above the bookshelves throughout the library.

Each year, the Guild donates an art book to one of several local libraries in the region, to continue to foster artistic interests and development.

Meetings are held monthly to exchange views, critique member's work, and participate in a variety of artistic activities.

You can find more information about the South Grenville Guild of Fine Art on their website.

Pictured below are some of the artworks currently displayed in the library. If you have any questions concerning any of the art work, please come into the Library and check the labels. Artist's information is on display with the work.
