The Town of Prescott Community Grant is intended to support not-profit organizations serving Town residents. The Town of Prescott provides these grants in order to assist groups with the delivery of services, which work to reduce social, economic or physical disadvantage, and/or which improve the quality of life for residents.

The Canadian Garden Council in collaboration with the Canadian Nursery Lanscape Association awarded the 1000 Islands and Rideau Garden Trail with the "Canada 150 Garden Experience" designation. This designation highlights 150 garden ways to celebrate Canada's birthday year.
