Town of Prescott Appoints Director of Administration/Clerk and Deputy Clerk

(PRESCOTT) The Town of Prescott is pleased to announce the promotion of Lindsey Veltkamp to the position of Director of Administration/Clerk and Kaitlin Mallory to the position of Deputy Clerk.

Ms. Veltkamp has served in the Town’s Corporate Services Department as an Executive Assistant and Deputy Clerk for the past five years.  In her new role, she will perform the statutory duties of Clerk and be a key senior management team member reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer.

Ms. Mallory has served in the Town’s Operations Department as an Executive Assistant for the past five years.  In her new role, she will perform the statutory duties of Deputy Clerk and assist Ms. Veltkamp with overseeing the Town’s records management system, communications, and election administration.

“All of us on council are very happy to be announcing these two promotions from within that only strengthen our administration at town hall,” said Mayor Brett Todd. “Both Lindsey and Kaitlin have been strong members of our team for some time now, so this will be a seamless transition that will allow us to continue serving our residents to the best of our ability. All the best to both on these promotions, which are very well deserved.”

“I am excited to be taking on this new role as Clerk in the Town of Prescott. I look forward to continuing to work with a great team and grow in this role,” said Ms. Veltkamp.

“I am humbled by this opportunity and am thrilled to work with staff, Council, and the community in a different capacity,” said Ms. Mallory.

These staff changes take effect December 7, 2020 and are due to the previous Director of Administration/Clerk, Kimberley Casselman, taking on a new role at the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
